A Little Bit About Me! As I said, my name is Anna and I have been a part of the TG community for 30 years now (my femme birthday is on August 24th). I am 42 years old and live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I started out my own Femm journey by appearing in local drag shows at the age of 13. I know this sounds kind of young to be hitting drag bars, but I was also part of a theatre group that was connected to one of the bars. After watching the shows and developing a keen interest for the Art Form of Drag, I decided to try it. My first night out most likely could have been my last. Nerves combined with a sense of excitement made me a little anxious. As I was heading up the stairs to the stage, I stepped on a bag that someone had left on the stairway, slipped, fell on my butt, and was flailed all over the stage as the curtain went up. Looking back to see what I had slipped on, I noticed that the bag was ripped open, and someone had left a banana peel in it. The MC of the show was laughing to hard to say much but had also noticed the bag and peel.At this point in my life, I had chosen the name Anna Natasha Nivens as my stage name, but that was quickly replaced that night. As the MC (after she had regained some composure) helped me up, she announced to the audience the newest star to hit the stage, literally, was none other then "Anna Banana"! Thanks to Kathryn, a good friend of mine on IRC, this "nick-name" lives on! I guess it would not have been too bad, except my intro song was "I Enjoy Being A Girl", which of course had the audience in stitches for the entire song. I quickly learned all about "Comedy Drag". Thank goodness I had the keen sense to change my last name a week later from Banana to Christopher, named after a very good friend of mine, Michelle Christopher, a drag hag extraordinar. And for the last 25 years, I have been Anna Natasha Christopher. I lasted a few years in the drag biz, but never quite fit in, as I am not a gay male. I married young (21) and divorced 6 months later (mutual, not related to dressing). From that point on in my life, I tried to combine the best of all gender worlds. Sometimes with great success, and other times with dismal failure. But to those of you who know me, I am stubborn and have always bounced back, growing and learning more each time. I started out in the Marketing and Advertising biz when I was 18 and from 1984 to 1995 owned my own full service agency. A few years ago I decided to close it all down and to finally pursue my love of my dual gender lifestyle. A lot of people ask me what I am, TV, CD, TG, TS and so on. I don’t really like labels, so I tell them I’m a human being. I do what I do because I can. No hidden agenda, no brain twists, just plain "I am what I am". Maybe a little to simple for some, but life is complicated enough as it is. I like me, I enjoy me, and therefore I tend to do with me as much as I can within the limits that life lays out in front of me. But then again, impossible only means it has never been done before! ;-) Some have wondered why I call one of our Web Sites, Femm. Well, besides it being a clever play on Femme Fatale (and since Femme.com was already taken), here is the deep thought for you . How about, ummm, Femm is short for Fem Males??? Okok, let's stick with the almost clever play on words! But really, in a nut shell, Expressing ones Female Side has nothing to do with sexual orientation; it has everything to do with expressing your dual gender. Some sisters dress a little, some a lot. Some play down the female side, some take it to glamour extremes. But the thread that ties each and every one of us together is the way we choose to express the female image. Both inside, and out! Well, I can’t think of much else to say for now. Hmmm, can you believe it; Anna has run out of words. Please enjoy Femme Fatale and all that it offers and if you have any questions, let me know. A BIG thanks to Patty at RainbowAVS, who has provided us with a home on the Internet and has put up with my millions of silly questions. Hugs and Kisses to you, Patty! You Are the Best! Have fun, happy exploring and remember that there are people out here who love you for Who You Are!! Big Hugs!
